The parking-protected, separated bikeway on 9th Street between K Street and L Street is finally open again, 2-1/2 years after it was closed for construction conversion of the Capitol Park Hotel by Mercy Housing. Though the area was occasionally used for active construction, mostly it was used for long-term storage of construction materials.
The sidewalk is still not open.

It’s been slowly reopening over time, but south of L forces you back into car traffic so it’s still not ideal. Little victories though! Yesterday, I was 5th in line behind other folks on bikes and was pretty stoked to see it!

You are correct, there are construction projects in the blocks of 9th St from O to N and P to Q, which eliminate bicycle facilities. I believe that the Central City Mobility Project portion on 9th St is going to be delayed until these construction projects are complete.
